The actor has previously admitted to being in near constant pain as he continues to suffer from fibromyalgia - chronic widespread pain - steaming from his broken shoulder.
Sadly, despite doctors promising it would improve by 2011, the actor's left hand remains immobile due to the severe nerve damage he suffered in the 2008 crash, and he has to wear the compression glove to keep the blood flow going.
Speaking about the injury just after the crash, the Dark Knight Rises star managed to remain matter of fact about the crippling affliction.
'I suffered nerve damage and it hasn't gotten better. I can't move it,' he said at the time.
'If you don't move your hand, it will swell up. Do you know you move your hand about a million times a day?'
Just how bad his injuries are became apparent in an interview with Esquire magazine in 2012.
The actor revealed he had to give up many things he enjoyed including piloting planes and sailing, and during the interview he constantly grabbed his arm.
